So the news was spinning, as yesterday sources revealed Microsoft's next-gen platform will mirror PS4; The newest format means Xbox 360 discs won't be compatible with the Xbox 720.

Check out the GameTrailers video below.

According to sources, Microsoft's still-unannounced Xbox 720 will use an AMD x86 processor. AMD is also providing chips for the Playstation4.

A shift to the x86 format means Xbox 360 discs won't be supported and backwards compatibility would be possible only through software emulation.

The AMD processor in the Xbox 720 reportedly combines "Jaguar" central processing units with graphics chips, according to one of the sources, who wished not to be named because Microsoft's plans have not yet been made public.

A Microsoft representative told GameSpot, an online game news source "We do not comment on rumors or speculation. We are always thinking about what is next for our platform, but we don’t have anything further to share at this time."

Microsoft has not announced its future platform, though the company is reportedly preparing to do just that during an event on May 21 2013. According to Windows blogger Paul Thurrott, the xbox 720 will sell for about $500.

"Game of Thrones," is a wildy popular fantasy drama that is currently runing on the Home Box Office (HBO) Network. The series has recently set an all-time record number of concurrent downloads via torrent, according to data that was collected by Torrent Freak, a Torrent tracking consortium.

Torrent Freak, was tracking uploads and downloads of the first episode of the newest season of "Game of Thrones" recently and it was found that just a few hours after the torrent was initially shared over 160,000 people were involved in its distrubition of its pieces. The "swarm" of people sharing the torrent far outpaced "Heroes," which was the previous title holder according to Torrent Freak. Another 11,000 people were sharing the complete season of Thrones, with over 50k downloading at that time of this publication.

It is now believed that just two days from the airing of the episide, over one million leechers have grabbed the file, and it has quickly become the most popular show ever downloaded, and one of the most popular shows on television. If you live in a box, the show follows the fantasy novel series "A song of Ice and Fire" which is written by George R Martin, and is now running in its third season.

The United States appeared to be the top place for all downloads, followed by the UK and Australia. What does that have to say about continued piracy and the MPAA and RIAA?

Now that the major ISP's are all contributing to the 6-strikes pact, has the death of the torrent arrived? These statistics seem to say otherwise, however I personally recommend any who are torrenting to stop. Unless you have loads of additional cash for a lawyer, or extremely forgiving wealthy parents, it isn't worth the bullshit it could bring. Years ago the ISP's used to protect the individuals, however after the Patriout Act that is no longer the case. Loads of information is turned over immediately. Do you trust them? I don't!

    Game on!

It has been some time since we have had to make any adjustments to hardware, however as we strive daily to continue to bring you an uninterrupted and enjoyable experience we found these steps necessary to take at this time, due to the cost effective solutions we have been provided. This solutions will increase our capacity with no monthly change in price. How can we go wrong?

Eventually, every machine will go through a phase of hardware based upgrades in the near term. We began the process last night, on Dallas2, culminating with a full new build out, inclusion of a raid controller, more ram, newer SATA drives with 8x the Cache as the previous drives, and new to our buildout are brand new SSD drives. The gameservers will now be running solely on the SSD drives. This will result in a significant improvement in disk access times over the slower SATAII drives we previously used. This in turn will greatly improve the game engines ability to quickly calculate positions, entity placement times, and maintain that delicate balance to produce the best shot registration in the gaming community.

While many communities stuff there hardware to the max, we don't fill any hardware past 50% capacity @ MAX PLAYERS, and these new upgrades will further lower those numbers not seen anywhere else.

We hope our continued effort to provide the best for you is as exciting for you as it is for us.

Stay tuned for more upgrade news as we build our platform for tomorrows games! We will be prepared! Will you be ready?

Most of us grew up with Link, kicking ass and collecting rupees. Well, turns out that Hyrule isn't the only place Link can kick some dungeon ass!

The New York Times on February 10th 2013 published its list of best-selling books for that week. Scrolling through to look for a new read for the boring day @ the office due to the snow, I came across a title I recall since my childhood. In the "Hardcover Advice & Misc" listing, I found "The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia," a book published late last month (January 2013) by Dark Horse Books and Nintendo LTD.

The book is authored by Akria Himekawa, Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma and is described as "containing an unparalleled collection of historical information on the famed franchise". Hyrule Historia beat out quite the significant opponents in the first week including "Shred: The Revolutionary Diet," which took second. "Rebooting Work" came in right behind in third.

Hyrule Historia is currently priced at $34.99 can be purchased for only $19.24 from Amazon, however is currently sold out---More units expected this Friday.
